Week Nine: October 5, 2015

What a great conference weekend am I right?!
Vez tras vez my questions are answered during conference, it is like a testimony fertilizer! I hope you all enjoyed Conference too and ate some crepes, waffles, or German pancakes for me!
D****** talked to her boyfriend and he is not ready to get married but she is still a stellar investigator and we are going to keep teacing her even though she can´t be baptized yet. She is an example to me!
-She told us she wanted to save up some money to donate to the youth in our ward to go  to EFY in Chile!
-SHE asked us for a Book of Mormon before we even gave her one!
-She bought a skirt!
-She came to Conference(Sunday session) and was taking NOTES!
-Then on top of everything she said she can´t wait to go watch the ones she missed online.

WOW. I LOVE HER!

I wish we could help her to be baptized because she wants it so bad but for now we will trust in the Lord and his plans and I know one day in the future she can! She is oh so eager and oh so good. She is amazing.
We also found new investigators this week!!
I love the sweet people of Chile. Everyone is so nice here it´s also because we are in the sweet humble Campo(country) part of the mission. But reallly, SO sweet. Sometimes I can´t even tell if they are rejecting or accepting an invitation because of their sweetness. Haha everyone kisses everyone´s cheeks too literally everyone, even people you don´t know it´s like a handshake haha.
A funny story that happened this week was this little 10yr old boy was trying to kiss my cheek and he was just so confused why we couldn´t so he kept saying “Hola... hola... hola...” *pointing to his cheek* hahaha.. then he was like “HELLO” hahaha! So funny, then he was super confused when we could kiss his sisters cheek...LOL.
I wanna hear all of your favorite “one liners” too! (Are you guys doing that again this time mama?)

Hermana Black´s fav “one liners” from conference:

  • Now is the time to prepare to meet God; not to recieve all our blessings.
  • Was that all that was required of me?
  • God did not design us to be sad he created us to have JOY.
  • BE the kind of person you want to marry
  • Hold on to the gospel with BOTH HANDS.
  • Ask: What lack I yet?
  • 1. Are we making our discipleship too complicated?
  • 2. START where you ARE!
  • TURN to HIM
  • ENDURE to the end but more importantly ENJOY to the end
  • Don´t you know, I know? (Christ)
  • What are we going to do about the LIGHT in their eyes?!
  • Women we need you & your power
  • NOW IS THE TIME: teach the gospel with CLARITY & from the HEART & by the SPIRIT.
  • True disciples don´t make excuses they simply have the desire to inspire
  • Family is the center of life and key to happiness
  • The gospel? It works, would you like to know more?
  • You are never “too bad” or it´s never “too late”..... he takes us as we are & makes us more.
  • ACTively come unto him
  • What areas of my life do I want to strengthen to strengthen others?
  • REACH UP!
  • We need to forgive to be forgiven
  • Once you see the divinity in yourself you can start to see it in others (Abby this totally reminded me of grandpa Max´s mirror lesson)

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT ALL! I could go on forever. I know this church is true with all my heart, I know the Prophets and apostles are called and I know Chist knows us by every detail.
