Week Seven: September 21, 2015

HOLA Buenos Tardes!
This week was rockin and rollin and difficult but soooo wonderful! (of course)
This Thursday was 18 of September which is Chile´s Independence Day.
They REALLY CELEBRATE haha!
Muchas empanadas, Mote(juice, wheat, spices, and dried peach) it is very interesting haha, BREAD haha well we have chilean bread everyday.
LOL!
Everyone puts on traditional clothing and dances a dance called Cueua!! One of the less active families that we are working with taught me the dance! I love familia Fuentes(the family) they remind me of my family and they are SO much fun! I hope they come to church this week!
We do lots of work with less actives because there are SO many in Chile! haha here is the thing i have heard and seen about these great people: They are SO SO SO friendly but slow to commit and come to church.
An investigator we found my first few days here named D******* came to church this SUNDAY!
She is SOOOOO good!
she is keeping the word of wisdom, praying, etc! but the problem is she and her baby live with her boyfriend.  They aren´t married and he isn't interested so this makes a problem and they are not ready to be married. I hope he opens his heart to the gospel.
We also had two other investigators at church as well!
This last Sunday was a special one it was Ward Conference! We sang a wonderful musical number " Mando Su Hijo"( I think) haha! We sang with the youth and the Elders in our district.
After the meetings guess what we had....
MAS EMPANADAS! haha.
This morning we had a Zone activity! We played soccer and our whole zone loves to use the phrase "holla-back" haha so they always say "holla-BLACK hermana black" lol.
Then we recieved permission to watch "The Saratov Approach" and make french toast to break our zone fast.:)
It was wonderful!! I love my zone!
My zone leaders  are so motivating! Also Hermana Briggs (cousin Mark Sheffield´s friend) is in my zone, how lucky am I?!
There are 3 amazing members Antonia (Anto), Francisco( Pancho), and Karen. They always come with us to teach and it brings SO much spirit and more power to the Lords message. They are 17 and 18yrs old. They are all such inspirations to me because they are all three the only members in their families, recentish converts, all wanna serve missions, etc!
Also they make the mission SO fun because they make it light and happy and not as stressful! So grateful for them!
FUN FACTS:
- Chileans have the craziest VOCAB haha! I have been making a list of solo "chilean palabras" haha!

- We eat lunch with the members everyday and they usually feed us: BREAD, pasta, rice, or mashed potatos, meat, and salad with apple cider vinegar. Chilean food is basic but it is not bad at all.:) I really miss all american food tho haha you can´t find very many things in Colemu. But who cares I am part Chilean for a lil while;)
I am feeling better this week being more confortable with everything!
The language is CRAZY! But my comp says "Hermana Black DO NOT STRESS, JUST ENJOY everyday because they will pass so quick, and the Lord is pleased with you and you are trying and that´s all that matters."
AW! I love her. She is the perfect trainer!

I love you guys to the moon & back x10!

xoxo. Hermana Liv Black
