This week was awesome(as are all weeks)!
I learned a lot about how much the little things count.
M******: He is a new investigator and has a cool story; One day in the plaza we contacted him and nothing really happened but then a couple weeks later I guess one of the members that accompanies us put a photo with us on her facebook and this same guy who we contacted was one of her acquaintances and commented on the photo that he had talked with us the other day and has been feeling like he wants to know more.
We taught him in the house of the member and it was pretty good; he is atheist but agreed to pray and read.
I am excited to see what happens.
L***** is doing great!!
Jewels, our missionary work is coming together, I was so happy to hear that L***** was able to talk to your Chinese convert about her conversion process.
L**** was thrilled when she told me at church the next day.
Jewels' Chinese convert in Japan is talking to my Chinese investigator in Chile!
Jewels – thanks for helping with that!
Well it is actually going to happen her desires and prayers were answered.
President Arrington is going to baptize her May 12th!
So crazy... haha oh L****!!
I love her so much!!
She is really converted and even though we are speaking a mix of three languages she gets it and wants to live it forever!
(so thankful for Chinese pamphlets, BOM, etc!)
A****** and J******: We taught J****** the law of chastity and before the lesson she said for the first time " Hermanas I received my answer in church and I feel the desire and need to be baptized Mormon, but don’t know if i am worthy with my situation..."
After the lesson she just expressed her feelings and feels like it will be almost impossible to work everything out to be baptized for at least a yr..... She is still married but separated and has a boyfriend (don’t live together but visits often).
I know that one day Abuelo A****** and J****** will both take the step of baptism one day but I was happy to be a part of "the planting of the gospel seed."
Yesterday I was reading in 1 Nephi 16:28--29 (about Lehi´s Liahona) and I just love how it talks about ...faith, diligence and heed to the counsel the Liahona gives.... By small means are great things brought to pass.
I know every little thing we do in the church, missionary work, every scripture we read, every prayer we say, every hand of service we give, etc.. is helping us be closer to God and in turn helps us receive more direction when we heed to the direction he has given us already.
I love the gospel with all my heart.
