Week Twelve: October 26, 2015

I can`t believe we got a dog! I am so happy for you guys.
But I would love to see pictures!;)

This week we made a group decision with some of the elders in the extension of our tiny branch that it is time to start fresh!
Our investigators weren`t really progessing, etc. So my comp and I have been coming up with all different kinds of new strategies!!
Here are some of them:
- There is a recent convert named Rodrigo who is affraid to read the scriptures and pray all of the sudden. We have tried lots of things that weren`t motivating him, but I decided to really think of what we could do I remembered he loves music.....so we have challaged him to "ponderize" one church "song" every week and pick his favorite line to apply to his life.
Hopefully this will be a start for him to feel the spirit again.

-Another thing we did this week was I made banana pancakes for our investigator I******* and her daughter L*******. We put them in a tuperware and with a note when we went to pick her up for church (round 3) haha. She had to work again but loved the thought and is still reading and praying. She is starting to work two jobs to support her kids but we will hope for next week because she is so strong and wishes she could come.

- We also did a mini exchange with the two AWESOME young women in the branch: Antonina & Karen. I was with Anto last night haha it was scary because I had to rely on my little knowledge in the mission and spanish. I tried my best to teach her how to do contacts and we just had SO much fun! We found some great people and I enjoyed hearing Anto`s whole conversion story. She is such an amazing example to me.
One day I will write you guys her story.
I love love it!

We are gonna try more new things this week too!

There is another less active family: Pablo, Barbara y Cata. They are both members but not married and we have been working with them here and there. We whitnessed a miracle this week though. We arrived for our apt with them and they told us they have been doing family history and are planning a date to get MARRIED!
Yay, future eternal family!

Fun Facts:
- When in rains here it rains CATS & DOGS haha!
We basically go swimming in the street.
I just love it though.

-So like I have said earlier the Chilean people are SO nice this week during contacts a couple different people said things like this: "Hola chicitas yo tengo mi religión pero un besito para cada uno!" or "Yo tengo mi religión preciosas!" haha.

I love this work really so much.
It is somethimes like WOW so hard but WOW so good too!
This life is the time to perpare to meet God; go perform! Don`t procrastinate; choose this day to serve him.

I love you amazing people to the moon and back X10!

con mucho amor,
Hermana Black
